The Tonkin Gulf Incident happened 57 years ago (as of this publishing). In those years, the question has lingered, “What really happened during the night of August 4, 1964 in the Tonkin Gulf?”.
These are the accounts of the crew that were there – from ship’s Captain, officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted men, read the stories of those who were there. These accounts are offered in honor of the 58,000 fellow service people that lost their lives in the Vietnam War and dedicates the journal to the children and grandchildren of those who served on the USS C. Turner Joy (DD-951).
